Neatly began with a single location on Hylan Blvd in Staten Island, built around one idea: laundry in New York City shouldn't be a chore that eats your entire Saturday. Moe and the founding team saw how much time busy New Yorkers lost hauling bags to coin-op laundromats, waiting hours, and folding everything themselves in cramped spaces. There had to be a better way.
From the start, the investment went into the best commercial equipment available — Speed Queen and Huebsch washers and dryers, the same machines trusted by hotels, hospitals, and commercial linen services. These machines run hotter, extract more water, and clean more thoroughly than residential units. The results spoke for themselves. Customers noticed the difference immediately, and word spread fast through Staten Island's tight-knit neighborhoods.
As the business grew through word of mouth and a simple promise — treat every customer's laundry like it was your own — it became clear that Brooklyn needed the same level of service. The borough is home to hundreds of thousands of apartment renters, most without in-unit laundry, who were stuck with the same frustrating options. Neatly opened its Brooklyn location at 37 Lincoln Rd in the Prospect Lefferts Gardens neighborhood, putting us right in the middle of Crown Heights, Flatbush, and Prospect Park South — some of Brooklyn's most densely populated communities. Today, both locations operate 24/7 and serve customers across all of Brooklyn and Staten Island with free pickup and delivery.
